[You can fast-forward directly to 2:23 in this section of the video to see the portion on the hollow mask]

The Hollow Mask is a test to discover whether or not a person is psychopathic. Two copies of the same mask are held in front of the person; one mask faces away from the subject, the other towards. Because of how the mind constructs reality with limited information, the average mind cannot tell the difference. A psychopath’s mind can tell the difference. Also, a person on hallucinogenic substances can tell the difference. And, disclosure, another person who can tell the difference is myself. It disturbs me that society consider the ability to see clearly to be an indicator of insanity.

While not all agree, it is generally accepted that seeing clearly (without filters) is a symptom of psychosis and should be treated in order to be cured. It’s an “illness”. This says quite a lot about our society, which deals in lies and illusions… and in a world half-lived. It should likely disturb me that I can discern the same differences that a psychopath can, but it instead gives me more empathy for psychopaths. It also increases my own discord with governmental-sanctioned science… and that includes their war on clarity. Then again, this is coming from a person who does not believe in “sanity”.
